Riverton Hawks (Riverton, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Auburn Trojans (Auburn, IL), 56-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Riverton upgrades its record to 6-21 on the season. The Hawks travel to Pleasant Plains (Pleasant Plains, IL) to clash with the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 11. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 22-6. Pleasant Plains won 48-27 in their recent league bout against PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central (Petersburg, IL)

Next up, the Trojans clash with the North Mac Panthers (Virden, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 11. Auburn will attempt to upgrade on its 15-16 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 13-18 record after their 65-41 league loss to Staunton (Staunton, IL).
