Connecticut High School Basketball - Bunnell ripped by Newtown

The Newtown Nighthawks basketball team scored 52 points and held the visiting Bunnell Bulldogs to 24 in the Nighthawks league triumph on Thursday.
The Nighthawks now sport a 15-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host New Milford for a Southwest - Patriot contest on Tuesday, February 14. Newtown will battle a Green Wave team coming off a 49-45 league win over Stratford (Stratford, CT). The Green Wave record now stands at 15-4.
The Bulldogs (2-17) will now prepare for their contest against Harding (Bridgeport, CT). The Presidents enter the non-league contest with a 0-16 record. In their last contest, Harding was routed by New Canaan (New Canaan, CT), 62-19, in a non-league contest.
