Pershing Doughboys (Detroit, MI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Denby Tars (Detroit, MI), 59-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Pershing upgrades its record to 13-6 on the season. The Doughboys travel to Renaissance (Detroit, MI) to play the Phoenix in a non-league bout on Monday, February 13. The Phoenix go into the bout with a record of 16-0. Renaissance won 99-8 in their recent non-league bout against King (Detroit, MI)

Next up, the Tars play the Tournament Opponent (, ) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 27. Denby will attempt to upgrade on its 0-9 season record.
