The Lathrop Malemutes basketball team (Fairbanks, AK), was overwhelmed 78-36 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Anchorage Christian Lions (Anchorage, AK)

The Lions now possess a 12-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Colony for a 4A Northern Lights battle on Monday, February 13. Anchorage Christian will battle a Knights team coming off a 57-54 league win over Wasilla (Wasilla, AK). The Knights record now stands at 12-4.

The Malemutes (9-9) will now prepare for their battle against West Valley (Fairbanks, AK). The Wolf Pack come into the 4A Mid Alaska battle with a 9-4 record. In their last battle, West Valley was overwhelmed by Ketchikan (Ketchikan, AK), 47-38, in a non-league battle.
