Nashville Hornets (Nashville, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Vienna Eagles (Vienna, IL), 36-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Nashville upgrades its record to 20-10 on the season. The Hornets host Chester (Chester, IL) to clash with the Yellowjackets in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 11. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 14-16. Chester lost 51-35 in their recent league bout against Sparta (Sparta, IL)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Anna-Jonesboro Wildcats (Anna, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 11. Vienna will attempt to upgrade on its 19-11 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 5-23 record after their 70-29 non-league loss to Massac County (Metropolis, IL).
