The Winnebago Indians basketball team scored 67 points and restricted the host Santee Warriors to 58 in the Indians non-league victory on Thursday.
The Indians now sport a 5-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Tekamah-Herman for a non-league contest on Monday, February 13. Winnebago will battle a Tigers team coming off a 46-32 non-league win over Fort Calhoun (Fort Calhoun, NE). The Tigers record now stands at 7-14.
The Warriors (5-8) will now prepare for their contest against St. Francis Indian (St. Francis, SD). The Warriors come into the non-league contest with a 6-9 record. In their last contest, St. Francis Indian prevailed over Crazy Horse (Wanblee, SD), 53-41, in a non-league contest.
