Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the West Orange Mountaineers (West Orange, NJ) and the visiting Columbia Cougars (Maplewood, NJ), saw West Orange's basketball squad overcome Columbia by a tally of 57-49.

With the victory, West Orange improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign.

Next up, the Cougars confront the Hillside Comets (Hillside, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, February 15. Columbia will attempt to improve on its 13-7 season record.
