Lubbock Christian Eagles (Lubbock, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Benjamin Mustangs (Benjamin, TX), 73-63 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lubbock Christian upgrades its record to 24-6 on the season. The Eagles travel to Weatherford Christian (Weatherford, TX) to play the Lions in a TAPPS 3A District 1 bout on Saturday, February 10. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 7-11.

Next up, the Mustangs play the Chillicothe Eagles (Chillicothe, TX) in a 1A Region II District 16 bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Benjamin will attempt to upgrade on its 16-1 season record.
