Canton Tigers (Canton, MO) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Silex Owls (Silex, MO), 63-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Canton upgrades its record to 17-7 on the season. The Tigers host Putnam County (Unionville, MO) to clash with the Midgets in a non-league bout on Monday, February 12. The Midgets go into the bout with a record of 16-6. Putnam County won 63-59 in their recent league bout against Maysville (Maysville, MO)

Next up, the Owls clash with the South Callaway Bulldogs (Mokane, MO) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 12. Silex will attempt to upgrade on its 0-9 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 15-6 record after their 91-35 non-league win over Missouri Military Academy (Mexico, MO).
