Eastside Blazers (Butler, IN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Garrett Railroaders (Garrett, IN), 44-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Eastside upgrades its record to 8-10 on the campaign. The Blazers host Adams Central (Monroe, IN) to play the Flying Jets in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 10. The Flying Jets come into the bout with a record of 15-3. Adams Central won 78-49 in their recent league bout against South Adams (Berne, IN)

Next up, the Railroaders play the Churubusco Eagles (Churubusco, IN) in a Northeast Corner bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Garrett will attempt to upgrade on its 5-14 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 5-13 record after their 69-25 league win over Hamilton (Hamilton, IN).
