The Monticello Panthers routed the visiting Liberty Indians basketball team by a final score of 60-33 in Friday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Panthers face the Cornwall Central Dragons (New Windsor, NY) in a Section 9 Orange County II test, on Monday, February 12. Monticello will attempt to advance on its 12-6 season record. The Dragons go into the test with a 10-7 record after their 58-53 league loss to Minisink Valley (Slate Hill, NY).

The Indians now own a 2-12 record. They play next when they host Beacon for a Section 9 Orange County III test on Monday, February 12. Liberty will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 51-44 non-league loss to Marlboro Central (Marlboro, NY). The Bulldogs record now stands at 18-8.
