The Mackinac Island Lakers basketball team scored 46 points and held the visiting Mid Peninsula Wolverines to 41 in the Lakers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Lakers now sport a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bay Mills Ojibwe Charter for a non-league contest on Friday, February 16. Mackinac Island will battle a team coming off a 100-69 non-league loss to Maplewood Baptist Academy (Kinross, MI). The record now stands at 4-6.

The Wolverines (2-14) will now prepare for their contest against Big Bay de Noc (Cooks, MI). The Black Bears enter the Northern Lights contest with a 11-3 record.
