Rye Thunderbolts (Rye, CO) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Manitou Springs Mustangs (Manitou Springs, CO), 49-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Rye upgrades its record to 12-5 on the season. The Thunderbolts travel to Peyton (Peyton, CO) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Monday, February 12. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 11-6. Peyton won 79-47 in their recent non-league bout against Dolores Huerta Prep (Pueblo, CO)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Alamosa Mean Moose (Alamosa, CO) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Manitou Springs will attempt to upgrade on its 8-11 season record. The Mean Moose go into the bout with a 11-9 record after their 54-39 non-league loss to Montrose (Montrose, CO).
