South Dakota High School Basketball - Bridgewater/Emery can't hold off Jones County

February 9, 2024: Emery, SD 57332

The Jones County Coyotes basketball team scored 44 points and held the host Bridgewater/Emery Huskies to 42 in the Coyotes non-league triumph on Friday.

The Coyotes now sport a 8-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wolsey-Wessington for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 10. Jones County will battle a Warbirds team coming off a 61-51 league loss to Iroquois/Lake Preston (Iroquois, SD). The Warbirds record now stands at 7-11.

The Huskies (5-11) will now prepare for their contest against Menno (Menno, SD). The Wolves enter the non-league contest with a 1-14 record. In their last contest, Menno was nudged by Centerville (Centerville, SD), 68-29, in a league contest.
