The North Central Thunder (Eureka, SD) basketball nipped the host Northwestern Area Wildcats (Mellette, SD), 51-44 in Friday's non-league test.
The Thunder (7-10) will now prepare for their test against Great Plains Lutheran (Watertown, SD). The Panthers go into the non-league test with a 13-5 record. In their last test, Great Plains Lutheran got by Northwestern Area (Mellette, SD), 26-23, in a non-league test.
The Wildcats now own a 9-9 record. They play next when they host Redfield for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 13. Northwestern Area will encounter a Pheasants squad coming off a 61-37 league loss to Groton (Groton, SD). The Pheasants record now stands at 5-13.
