The Ponca Indians basketball team scored 59 points and held the host Walthill Blujays to 35 in the Indians non-league triumph on Friday.

The Indians now sport a 8-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Homer for a non-league contest on Friday, February 9. Ponca will meet a Knights team coming off a 59-31 non-league loss to Pender (Pender, NE). The Knights record now stands at 8-9.

The Blujays (4-13) will now prepare for their contest against Lyons-Decatur Northeast (Lyons, NE). The Cougars enter the D1 District 6 contest with a 3-17 record. In their last contest, Lyons-Decatur Northeast was routed by Wakefield (Wakefield, NE), 61-35, in a non-league contest.
