The Waseca Bluejays (Waseca, MN) basketball nipped the host St. James Saints (St. James, MN), 68-61 in Friday's non-league test.
The Bluejays (7-16) will now prepare for their test against St. Peter (St. Peter, MN). The Saints go into the non-league test with a 21-1 record. In their last test, St. Peter got by Marshall (Marshall, MN), 58-52, in a league test.
The Saints now own a 4-19 record. They play next when they travel to Fairmont for a AA Section 3 test on Tuesday, February 13. St. James will encounter a Cardinals squad coming off a 67-58 league win over Jackson County Central (Jackson, MN). The Cardinals record now stands at 13-10.
