Simsbury Trojans (Simsbury, CT) fans left the game thrilled Friday as they witnessed their ice hockey team achieve victory over the host Smithfield Sentinels (Esmond, RI), 3-1 in a non-league match.

The Trojans (12-1) will now prepare for their match against St. Joseph (Trumbull, CT). The Cadets enter the non-league match with a 3-13 record.

Next up, the Sentinels encounter the Prout Crusaders (Wakefield, RI) in a State Championship Division match, on Saturday, February 10. Smithfield will attempt to advance on its 9-10 season record. The Crusaders enter the match with a 19-2 record after their 4-0 league win over Pilgrim (Warwick, RI).
