Manchester Squires (North Manchester, IN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Peru Tigers (Peru, IN), 66-63 in a league bout.

With the victory, Manchester upgrades its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Squires host Maconaquah (Bunker Hill, IN) to play the Braves in a bout on Friday, February 16. The Braves come into the bout with a record of 7-6.

Next up, the Tigers play the Western Panthers (Russiaville, IN) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 10. Peru will attempt to upgrade on its 12-5 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 69-58 non-league win over Maconaquah (Bunker Hill, IN).
