The Oscoda Owls basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the visiting Heston Academy Patriots to 41 in the Owls non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Owls now sport a 11-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Posen for a non-league contest on Thursday, March 3. Oscoda will battle a Vikings team coming off a 35-32 non-league loss to Mio-Au Sable (Mio, MI). The Vikings record now stands at 12-7.

The Patriots (12-6) will now prepare for their contest against Tawas Area (Tawas City, MI). The Braves come into the non-league contest with a 11-8 record. In their last contest, Tawas Area was defeated by Elk Rapids (Elk Rapids, MI), 71-52, in a non-league contest.
