Byron Nelson Bobcat (Trophy Club, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Grapevine Mustangs (Grapevine, TX), 16-13 in a non-league challenge.

The Bobcat now own a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they host Frenship for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 3. Byron Nelson will face a Tigers squad coming off a 13-3 non-league loss to Monterey (Lubbock, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 8-2.

With the loss, Grapevine falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Hebron (Carrollton, TX) to face the Hawks in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 4. The Hawks enter the challenge with a record of 5-5. Hebron won 8-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Allen (Allen, TX)
