El Capitan Vaqueros (Lakeside, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Point Loma Pointers (San Diego, CA), 16-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Vaqueros now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Valhalla for a non-league game on Thursday, March 3. El Capitan will clash with a Norsemen team coming off a 8-2 non-league win over Southwest EC (El Centro, CA). The Norsemen record now stands at 5-1.

In their next game, the Pointers clash with the Holtville Vikings (Holtville, CA) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, March 2. Point Loma will attempt to move on its 1-5 season record. The Vikings come into the game with a 4-0 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Otay Ranch (Chula Vista, CA).
