The Lumberton Pirates (Lumberton, NC) softball the visiting Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC), 4-2 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Pirates (1-0) will now prepare for their bout against Ashley (Wilmington, NC). The Screaming Eagle go into the non-league bout with a 0-1 record. In their last bout, Ashley by South View (Hope Mills, NC), 6-4, in a non-league bout.

The Vikings now possess a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to D.H. Conley for a non-league bout on Friday, March 4. Hoggard will confront a Vikings squad coming off a 7-2 non-league win over Cleveland (Clayton, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 1-0.
