Lincoln Charter Eagles (Denver, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Metrolina Christian Academy Warriors (Indian Trail, NC), 6-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Eagles now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cherryville for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 4. Lincoln Charter will battle a Ironmen squad coming off a 5-4 non-league loss to Stuart W. Cramer (Belmont, NC). The Ironmen record now stands at 0-2.
With the loss, Metrolina Christian Academy falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Warriors host Cannon (Concord, NC) to battle the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 3. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
