The Little River Academy Bumblebees (Little River Academy, TX) softball nipped the host Salado Eagles (Salado, TX), 6-5 in Tuesday's non-league bout.
The Bumblebees (2-3) will now prepare for their bout against West (West, TX). The Trojans go into the non-league bout with a 3-4 record.
The Eagles now possess a 3-1 record. They play next when they host Harker Heights for a non-league bout on Thursday, March 3. Salado will confront a Knights squad coming off a 7-4 non-league win over Lake Belton (Temple, TX). The Knights record now stands at 11-3.
