Mojave Mustangs (Mojave, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Lucerne Valley Mustangs (Lucerne Valley, CA), 16-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Desert for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 8.

With the loss, Lucerne Valley falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Riverside Prep (Oro Grande, CA) to battle the Silver Knights in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 4. The Silver Knights enter the challenge with a record of 0-4. Riverside Prep lost 15-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Foothill Tech (Ventura, CA)
