El Segundo Eagles (El Segundo, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Bishop Montgomery Knights (Torrance, CA), 7-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mira Costa for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 2. El Segundo will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 7-6 non-league win over Legacy (South Gate, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Bishop Montgomery falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Bishop Amat (La Puente, CA) to battle the Lancers in a Del Rey challenge on Thursday, March 2. The Lancers enter the challenge with a record of 1-4.
