Eastern Randolph Wildcats (Ramseur, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Jordan-Matthews Jets (Siler City, NC), 12-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Northern Guilford for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 3. Eastern Randolph will battle a Nighthawks squad coming off a 19-2 non-league win over Asheboro (Asheboro, NC). The Nighthawks record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Jordan-Matthews falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Jets travel to Northwood (Pittsboro, NC) to battle the Chargers in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 6. The Chargers enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Northwood lost 6-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Northern Durham (Durham, NC)
