West Rowan Falcons (Mt. Ulla, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Mooresville Blue Devils (Mooresville, NC), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Falcons now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host West Stanly for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 3. West Rowan will battle a Colts squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Carson (China Grove, NC). The Colts record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Mooresville falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Blue devils host East Rowan (Salisbury, NC) to battle the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 2. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 2-0. East Rowan won 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Montgomery Central (Troy, NC)
