Artesia Pioneers (Lakewood, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their baseball team knock off the visiting Santiago Cavaliers (Garden Grove, CA), 10-2 in a non-league bout.

The Pioneers now possess a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Buena Park for a non-league bout on Thursday, March 7. Artesia will face a Coyotes team coming off a 5-1 non-league win over Costa Mesa (Costa Mesa, CA). The Coyotes record now stands at 6-1.

With the defeat, Santiago falls to 1-3 on the season. The Cavaliers host Rancho Alamitos (Garden Grove, CA) to battle the Vaqueros in a Garden Grove test on Friday, March 8. The Vaqueros come into the test with a record of 4-4. Rancho Alamitos lost 4-1 in their recent non-league test against Garden Grove (Garden Grove, CA)
