The Covington Lions crushed the visiting Dutchtown Griffins baseball team by a count of 7-1 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Lions now possess a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they host Archbishop Hannan for a non-league bout on Saturday, March 2. Covington will face a Hawks team coming off a 11-7 non-league win over Northlake Christian (Covington, LA). The Hawks record now stands at 7-0.
Next, the Griffins face the Pearl River Rebels (Pearl River, LA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, March 2. Dutchtown will attempt to move on its 6-1 season record. The Rebels enter the bout with a 5-3 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to St. Paul's (Covington, LA).
