Methuen Rangers (Methuen, MA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Central Golden Eagles (Springfield, MA), 81-67 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Methuen upgrades its record to 12-9 on the campaign. The Rangers travel to Xaverian Brothers (Westwood, MA) to play the Hawks in a non-league bout on Monday, March 4. The Hawks come into the bout with a record of 16-6. Xaverian Brothers won 76-36 in their recent non-league bout against Peabody Veterans Memorial (Peabody, MA)
