Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Corvian Community Cardinals (Charlotte, NC) and the visiting Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC), saw Corvian Community's basketball squad knock off Swain County by a count of 81-68.

With the victory, Corvian Community upgrades its record to 24-3 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Mountain Island Charter (Mt. Holly, NC) to play the Raptors in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 5. The Raptors come into the challenge with a record of 12-13. Mountain Island Charter won 55-52 in their recent non-league challenge against South Stanly (Norwood, NC)
