North Carolina High School Basketball - Monroe can't hold off Shelby

The Shelby Golden Lions basketball team scored 46 points and held the visiting Monroe Redhawks to 44 in the Golden Lions non-league triumph on Friday.

The Golden Lions now sport a 18-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Reidsville for a non-league contest on Tuesday, March 5. Shelby will battle a Rams team coming off a 90-55 non-league win over Lincolnton (Lincolnton, NC). The Rams record now stands at 25-0.
