North Carolina High School Basketball - Union knocked off by Gates County

The Gates County Red Barons basketball team scored 48 points and held the host Union Spartans to 37 in the Red Barons non-league triumph on Friday.

The Red Barons now sport a 22-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Columbus for a non-league contest on Tuesday, March 5. Gates County will battle a Gators team coming off a 63-51 non-league win over North Duplin (Calypso, NC). The Gators record now stands at 23-1.
