Texas High School Basketball - La Vega nips Lincoln

La Vega Pirates (Waco, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Lincoln Tigers (Dallas, TX), 65-60 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, La Vega upgrades its record to 31-11 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Canyon (Canyon, TX) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, March 2. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 30-6. Canyon won 53-39 in their recent non-league bout against Boerne (Boerne, TX)
