Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Lafayette Hornets (Mayo, FL) and the visiting Forest Wildcats (Ocala, FL), witnessed Lafayette's softball squad prevail over Forest by a count of 11-3.

The Hornets now sport a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Trenton for a non-league match on Friday, March 1. Lafayette will face a Tigers squad coming off a 9-8 non-league win over Columbia (Lake City, FL). The Tigers record now stands at 3-0.

With the loss, Forest moves to 4-1 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Satellite (Satellite Beach, FL) to face the Scorpions in a non-league match on Saturday, March 2. The Scorpions go into the match with a record of 2-1. Satellite lost 14-11 in their recent non-league match against Suwannee (Live Oak, FL)
