Arizona High School Softball - St. Mary's bounces Apache Junction

St. Mary's Knights (Phoenix, AZ) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Apache Junction Prospectors (Apache Junction, AZ), 7-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Knights now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to American Leadership Academy - Gilbert North for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 4. St. Mary's will face a Eagles squad coming off a 22-19 non-league win over Agua Fria (Avondale, AZ). The Eagles record now stands at 2-5.

With the loss, Apache Junction falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Prospectors travel to Seton Catholic (Chandler, AZ) to face the Sentinels in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 4. The Sentinels enter the challenge with a record of 4-6. Seton Catholic won 7-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Prescott (Prescott, AZ)
