Mansfield Tigers (Mansfield, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Argyle Eagles (Argyle, TX), 8-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 2-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Monterey for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 2. Mansfield will battle a Plainsmen squad coming off a 9-1 non-league win over Trinity (Euless, TX). The Plainsmen record now stands at 6-2.

With the loss, Argyle falls to 7-9 on the campaign. The Eagles host Sweetwater (Sweetwater, TX) to battle the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 2. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 4-5. Sweetwater lost 9-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Midway (Waco, TX)
