Bryant Hornets (Bryant, AR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Baptist Prep Eagles (Little Rock, AR), 11-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Nashville for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 2. Bryant will battle a Scrappers squad coming off a 11-7 non-league loss to Maumelle (Maumelle, AR). The Scrappers record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Baptist Prep falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Little Rock Christian Academy (Little Rock, AR) to battle the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 4. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 0-2. Little Rock Christian Academy lost 15-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Sylvan Hills (Sherwood, AR)
