The Columbia Wildcats softball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting Bertie Falcons to 5 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Columbia improves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Manteo (Manteo, NC) to clash with the Redskins in a non-league game on Tuesday, March 5. The Redskins come into the game with a record of 0-2. Manteo lost 9-0 in their recent non-league game against Northside - Pinetown (Pinetown, NC)

In their next game, the Falcons clash with the Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC) in a non-league game, on Thursday, March 7. Bertie will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Aces come into the game with a 2-1 record after their 18-3 non-league loss to Perquimans (Hertford, NC).
