The Brookeland Wildcats softball team scored 12 runs and limited the host Cushing Bearkats to 0 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Brookeland improves its record to 6-1 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Broaddus (Broaddus, TX) to clash with the Bulldogs in a 2A Region III District 23 game on Tuesday, March 5. The Bulldogs come into the game with a record of 2-7. Broaddus lost 8-1 in their recent non-league game against Shelbyville (Shelbyville, TX)

Coming up next, the Bearkats encounter the Martinsville Pirates (Martinsville, TX) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, March 2. Cushing will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Pirates enter the outing with a 4-1 record after their 5-4 non-league win over Center (Center, TX).
