Dawson Eagles (Pearland, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Clear Brook Wolverines (Friendswood, TX), 7-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 11-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pearland for a 6A Region III District 23 challenge on Friday, March 8. Dawson will battle a Oilers squad coming off a 4-3 non-league win over The Woodlands (The Woodlands, TX). The Oilers record now stands at 16-2.

With the loss, Clear Brook falls to 7-8 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Brazoswood (Clute, TX) to battle the Buccaneers in a 6A Region III District 24 challenge on Tuesday, March 5. The Buccaneers enter the challenge with a record of 8-7.
