La Joya Coyotes (La Joya, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Hanna Golden Eagles (Brownsville, TX), 15-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Coyotes now own a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they host Nixon for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 2. La Joya will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 7-1 non-league loss to Mission (Mission, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 5-8.

With the loss, Hanna falls to 3-7 on the campaign. The Golden eagles travel to Economedes (Edinburg, TX) to battle the Jaguars in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 2. The Jaguars enter the challenge with a record of 5-6. Economedes lost 13-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Mission Veterans Memorial (Mission, TX)
