Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the La Mirada Matadores (La Mirada, CA) and the host Hillcrest Trojans (Riverside, CA), witnessed La Mirada's softball squad tip Hillcrest by a count of 7-0.

The Matadores now sport a 7-2 record. They play next when they travel to El Toro for a non-league match on Friday, March 1. La Mirada will face a Chargers squad coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to El Modena (Orange, CA). The Chargers record now stands at 4-3.

With the loss, Hillcrest moves to 5-6 on the season. The Trojans travel to Cypress (Cypress, CA) to face the Centurions in a non-league match on Friday, March 1. The Centurions go into the match with a record of 3-4. Cypress lost 1-0 in their recent non-league match against West (Torrance, CA)
