The Vidor Pirates (Vidor, TX) softball nipped the visiting Humble Wildcats (Humble, TX), 4-3 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Pirates (4-2) will now prepare for their bout against West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX). The Mustangs go into the 4A Region III District 19 bout with a 0-5 record. In their last bout, West Orange-Stark was edged by Kirbyville (Kirbyville, TX), 12-0, in a non-league bout.
The Wildcats now possess a 3-16 record. They play next when they travel to Orangefield for a non-league bout on Friday, March 1. Humble will confront a Bobcats squad coming off a 4-2 non-league win over Cleveland (Cleveland, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 3-3.
