The McKinney Lions softball team scored 10 runs and limited the visiting Redwater Dragons to 1 in the Lions non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, McKinney moves its record to 8-7 on the year. The Lions host Aubrey (Aubrey, TX) to clash with the Chaparrals in a non-league game on Friday, March 1. The Chaparrals come into the game with a record of 11-2. Aubrey won 7-1 in their recent non-league game against Plano West (Plano, TX)

In their next game, the Dragons clash with the New Boston Lions (New Boston, TX) in a 3A Region II District 14 game, on Tuesday, March 5. Redwater will attempt to move on its 7-9 season record. The Lions come into the game with a 5-7 record after their 12-2 non-league win over Chapel Hill (Mount Pleasant, TX).
