Sunnyside Blue Devils (Tucson, AZ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Punahou Buff n' Blue (Honolulu, HI), 6-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Blue Devils now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Villa Park for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 1. Sunnyside will battle a Spartans squad coming off a 7-1 non-league win over Deer Valley (Glendale, AZ). The Spartans record now stands at 4-4.

With the loss, Punahou falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Buff n' blue travel to Perry (Gilbert, AZ) to battle the Pumas in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 2. The Pumas enter the challenge with a record of 3-6. Perry lost 7-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Notre Dame (SO) (Sherman Oaks, CA)
