In Saturday's non-league game, the visiting Apple Springs Eagles baseball team scored a close 6-5 win over the Latexo Tigers.
The Eagles (3-0) will now prepare for their game against Slocum (Elkhart, TX). The Mustangs go into the non-league game with a 0-4 record. In their last game, Slocum was tipped by Neches (Neches, TX), 11-4, in a non-league game.
Next, the Tigers play the Centerville Bulldogs (Groveton, TX) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, March 4. Latexo will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record.
