The Community Braves baseball team scored 4 runs and held the visiting Hughes Springs Mustangs to 3 in the Braves non-league win on Saturday.
The Braves now hold a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ford for a 4A Region II District 13 test on Tuesday, March 11.
With the defeat, Hughes Springs drops to 8-2 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Sulphur Springs (Sulphur Springs, TX) to play the Wildcats in a non-league test on Saturday, March 1. The Wildcats go into the test with a record of 6-1. Sulphur Springs lost 4-3 in their recent non-league test against Troup (Troup, TX)
